The 1st Tajiri Cup Student Medical Rally was held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus.
The Medical Rally is an educational competition that takes place in a mock emergency medical scene, where participants compete and learn through skills and teamwork, with the aim of honing practical skills in pre-hospital medical care.
The student club T-FAST was primarily responsible for planning and running the event, which featured three scenarios: "Trauma," "Cardiac Arrest," and "Disaster Site," with participants competing for rankings based on points. Under the theme "Save All Injured People!", five mixed teams of first- to third-year students participated, along with one special team of fourth-year students and faculty. The students worked together with their peers to tackle a number of scenarios, mobilizing all of the emergency field knowledge and skills they had acquired through their previous training and studies.
There was a sense of tension immediately after the start of the competition, but the participants demonstrated the calmness and teamwork they had developed through their daily training, and cleared one task after another. After the competition was over, the venue was filled with smiles filled with a sense of accomplishment.
The students who participated in this medical rally not only experienced the difficulties of planning and running the event, but also appeared to have gained a deeper sense of responsibility, awareness, and resolve towards the mission of "saving the injured and sick" through participating in the competition.
At Fukuoka Campus we will continue to work on developing medical professionals who can play an active role in the community.
