The notification for renewal of the Faculty of Faculty of Science and Engineering and establishment of new departments has been accepted

Teikyo University is pleased to announce that the notification of reorganization of Faculty of Science and Engineering Department of Integrated Science and Engineering and establishment of Faculty of Science and Engineering Department of Data Science has been accepted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for April 2025.

We are planning to reorganize the four departments of the Faculty of Faculty of Science and Engineering at Utsunomiya Campus (Department of Mechanical and Precision Systems, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Department of Information and Electronic Engineering, and Department of Biosciences) to establish a new department. We will set up four courses: "Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Course", "Robotics and Al Course", "Computer Science Course", and "Environment and Biotechnology Course", and students will learn basic knowledge in a wide range of science and engineering fields before studying each specialized field in depth.

Taking advantage of the strengths of a comprehensive university, students will learn data science related to medical data and management data in collaboration with the medical and Faculty of Economics faculties. Based on the theoretical foundations of mathematics, statistics, and information engineering, we will utilize problem-solving learning methods to develop data scientists who are equipped with the ability to create valuable information from data and use it in decision-making.
