Itabashi CampusAssociate Associate Professor Department of Orthoptics won the Best Paper Award at the 60th Japan Ophthalmology Society

At the 60th Japanese Ophthalmology Society held at the Kobe International Conference Center (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st, 2024, Associate Professor Masakazu Hirota of the Department of Department of Orthoptics Faculty of Medical Technology Teikyo University, won the Best Paper Award. The Japanese Ophthalmology Society was founded in 1965 with the goal of contributing to research and development of basic and applied issues related to visual science, lenses, optical instruments, eye measurement instruments, etc., and disseminates information based on medical evidence to society.
Associate Professor Hirota reported the results of his research, which examined whether the change in eye power when viewing augmented reality (AR) images is caused by the brightness of the background, using Maxwellian vision, which is said to be unaffected by myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. The content of his presentation was highly evaluated, leading to this award. We look forward to Associate Professor Hirota's continued success.
