Utsunomiya CampusTeikyo Formula Project participated in the 22nd Student Formula Japan Championship 2024 and completed all events.

At the 22nd Student Formula Japan Championship 2024, held at Aichi Sky Expo (Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture) from Monday, September 9th to Saturday, September 14th, 2024, the engineering club "Teikyo Formula Project (TFP)" from Teikyo University Utsunomiya Campus completed all events in the dynamic judging and placed 36th overall.
The competition aims to provide students with an opportunity to learn the essence and process of manufacturing through team building and developing and building a small formula-style racing car over a period of about one year, thereby contributing to the revitalization of engineering education at universities and technical colleges. A wide range of judging criteria are included, and the competition is characterized by the overall strength of manufacturing, including not only driving performance but also vehicle marketing, planning, design, production, and cost management.
This year's TFP project was mainly undertaken by inexperienced junior students. Although they appeared to struggle with vehicle construction and driving, they passed vehicle inspection within the deadline and completed all dynamic tests. Although it was disappointing for the students as they did not achieve the ranking they had aimed for, it was a fruitful competition as they were able to identify issues they can use next year and beyond. We would like to thank all the sponsoring companies who supported us and the alumni who gave us encouragement and advice during the competition. TFP will continue to strive to reach even greater heights.
