Our students inspected the booth at an FC Tokyo home game

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, students from Teikyo University visited Ajinomoto Stadium (Chofu, Tokyo) to inspect the booth exhibits at home games as part of the FC Tokyo Active Learning Program.

Our university has an official partnership agreement with FC Tokyo, providing an environment where students can learn about sports business in a practical way through lectures by club staff and participation in community service activities. Students selected from participants in a special class held in July are working on the theme of "regions," addressing the issue of how to efficiently develop potential areas of fans and supporters in Tokyo. The program aims for students to search for solutions themselves, ultimately leading to practical implementation of local promotional activities and booth exhibitions.

During this visit, the students visited the booths set up by partner companies and others at "NO PLANET, NO TOKYO" Day, a social collaboration activity that FC Tokyo has been running since 2021 with the aim of realizing a sustainable society. The students enthusiastically observed the ingenuity and efforts of each booth, hoping to use this as reference for their own future exhibits.
The program was led by Professor Fumio Tsukahara of the Department of Department of Sport and Medical Science Faculty of Medical Technology, Assistant Professor Satoshi Iwamura of the same department, and Associate Professor Toshio Kumai Department of Business Administration, Faculty Faculty of Economics, who provided guidance to students on the perspectives and ways of thinking necessary for exhibiting at their booths.
After the tour, the students watched a match between FC Tokyo and Avispa Fukuoka. A diverse group of students, from those knowledgeable about soccer to those with little experience watching soccer, participated, cheering on the team and enjoying the spectacular performances by the players.

Our university will continue to support FC Tokyo together with fans, supporters, and the local community, and will provide students with opportunities to learn in a variety of areas, including sports marketing, through practical experience.
